Frequently Asked Legal Questions

The questions below address the areas we hear about most — your rights as an account holder, how we use your data and what steps to take if you need to raise a formal concern.

These terms apply to every account holder on cricmatch. Access is subject to local law and is available only where local law permits. By opening an account, you confirm that you have read and accepted these conditions in full.

Yes. Submit a subject access request through the in-account correspondence tool or via email. We will compile and send your data within the timeframe required by applicable law — typically 30 days from the date we verify your identity.

Financial transaction records — including deposits and withdrawals made via UPI, Paytm or PhonePe — are retained for the period prescribed by applicable financial regulations. After that period, they are deleted from our active databases.

You can request account closure and data erasure via the support desk. Some data may be retained for the legally required period even after closure. We will explain exactly which records are kept and why at the time of your request.

Disputes are first reviewed by our internal compliance team, who aim to respond within 14 days. If the dispute is unresolved at that stage, our terms set out the escalation path and the governing jurisdiction that applies to your account.

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with payment processors such as UPI gateways or Paytm to complete transactions, and with regulators where required by law. Each sharing event is documented and purpose-limited.

Raise a change request through live chat or the account settings page. For sensitive changes — such as your registered PhonePe number or identity documents — we will ask you to complete identity verification before the update is applied.
